Why Us?
I have something that no other drone pilot I know of can offer. More than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in high-end product sales. I have individually sold luxury yachts across the country and managed some of the largest boat dealers in the world. I then, for more than a decade, helped Yacht Brokers world-wide market, advertise, and sell their inventory on the world's largest Yachting MLS (Multiple Listing Service), YachtWorld.com, as the Mid-Atlantic Senior Regional Manager. I worked hand-in-hand with more than 250 brokerage firms to grow their businesses and sell their own products online. In short, I know what works online and on MLS's. This gives me a major edge over a pilot that will just take some pictures and clips and wish you luck. I am use to building lifetime relationships with my clients and I continue to do that with my drone work. My experience and insight can help you to build a better listing with much better results.
I have always believed the greatest way for me to become successful was to make my clients successful. By providing better images, a unique view and a long history of selling, or helping others to sell high end products online, I know I will become more than just your company's aerial picture taker.
I also am a FAA Part 107 Remote UAV Pilot Certified to fly at night and over people. I also carry insurance when applicable.

Our Story
Through The Cameras Eye LLC began more than two decades ago in 1997 as a hobby for owner Scott M Rhodes, who at the time was working as a successful broker in the yachting industry. Back then he was a still photographer experimenting with a "brand new medium", digital photography. Armed with a 1 mega-pixel camera he captured the views around his hometown on Long Island, NY. Growing up the son of a baymen and working on the water selling yachts, many of his photos were taken from a boat or off a beach.
Over the years he also learned how to create museum quality, large format prints of his work. He sold these on the still very new "digital highway", the internet, Art Studios and at Art Shows. He also used his images to sell luxury yachts all over the country.
Around 2010 Scott discovered his first "flying camera". The original Parrot AR Drone. "It was a mess, hard to fly, unstable and took terrible pictures", Scott says. However, the unique perspective had him hooked! Aerial photography and video were quick to become his primary focus of his images and is still today.
Early in 2020, the weekend before the world was shut down due to the Covid 19 Epidemic, Scott passed the FAA Part 107 UAV Pilots License exam. This allows him to use drones for more than just a hobby and to shoot commercially. Something you can not legally do without being FAA Licensed. It also gave him a wealth of experience and knowledge in how to safely and legally fly UAVs.
Today he is based just outside of Annapolis, MD. Scott has been taking his relationships and experience working in sales, marketing and advertising in the boating industry for more than 25 years and married them to his passion for drone photography and video. The result is a company that knows how to help others use unique imagery to sell their products online, especially in a MLS environment.
Our Equipment
"I am a geek", Scott says. Something that wasn't cool when he was young, but now is paying off! Scott stays on top of all the latest technology and uses the devices and programs that are best suited for use "on the fly". Using multiple different drones, primarily the DJI Mavic 2 Pro, he can capture large format, incredible stills and stable 4K 10bit video.
For ground-based filming he uses either a Canon DSLR, multiple GoPros, an Osmo Pocket and various gimbals for smooth filming and long exposure low light stills.
Powerful, stable and portable are the functions he looks for when investing in any equipment he uses. All videos he captures can be in 4K, capable of displaying on today's largest televisions or boardroom projectors.
